Misfiring

I need some help if anybody wants to give it. My car is running horrible at all times, it idles at a really low rpm and feels like it wants to stall, it doesnt want to accelarate at all, and even at cruising speeds it acts doggish. When i drive it for a while the power will just kick in and it seems to run fine until i let it sit. My check engine light is on so i had diagnostics done and it came up that cylinders 2 AND 6 were misfiring. I bought new plugs and wires but havent put them in yet. Will this fis my problem or does it sound like something else to any of you?

How can i tell if my coils are bad? And what would cause the computer to mess up all of a sudden?

Welcome to the most ignorant problem that will ever be produced buy your v6 mustang. Unfortunately nobody can give you correct information about what your problem is. Unless you have a built motor from ssm/rpm/pe/tmr or another location you will probably experience this at one time or another...

Popular answers:

change your plugs, change your plug wires, coil pack, you could have a blown head gasket, change your oil, seafoam your car, run fuel injector cleaner, check your fuel injectors, check your fuel filter, check your fuel pump,

Have fun, and thank F.O.R.D for your problems

You might want to check compression first.

Evidently this code sometimes comes up when a cylinder goes dead due to no compression or there is a blown head gasket. Usually cylinders 3 and 6 fail.

If compression is good then yes check the ignition, injectors etc.

try cleaning your throttle body out. A clogged throttle body can create a random misfire in your system. So add that to your list of things to check.
