Squeal Question

Hey guys, I noticed a squeal under the hood, i just assumed it was a pulley that needs replaced but when i push in the clutch the squeal stops. So i figured that eliminates the pulleys. I just wondered what you guys thought it was? its not bad, i just figured it could be like the flywheel or clutch or something maybe?

Definitely a TOB. When you replace it, make sure you get an OEM TOB or else you'll be changing it again very soon afterwards.

What about a pilot bearing? I heard that pilot bearing will cause the same squealing?

TOB's are more susceptible to go out. But he could go ahead and replace it while his tranny is disconnected

Def. sounds like the throw-out bearing. If you are getting into it that far and the clutch is stock or getting old, I would replace the pilot bearing, rear main seal, clutch, clutch fork and cable. Also, get the flywheel resurfaced if not a new one.
