8.8 Rear Axle Swap

Ok soo i'm doing the axle swap for my 'senior project'..we call them exit projects..

1.) I called a salvage yrd and they said they wanted 650 bucks for it...is that a good price???

2.) I'm putting 4.10's in the rear with a full set of brand new brakes..also a driveshaft...is the driveshaft worth the 200 dollars for it or shoudl i just skip that part?

3.) I'm thinking about upgrading to 31 spline..but i think it will be pointless considering about how the most power i want to push is 350..and that is when i get done with the car all together...should i just leave the stocker 28's or go 31's???

4.) I know that when the GT is wrecked it can bend the axle...what kinda wreck shoudl i stay away from to make sure it isn't bent..and how can i tell if it is bent or not??

with 350 you would be fine with a 28 spline. I bet you would even be fine with a 7.5 with a truetrac but if you wanna go with the 8.8 go ahead. I just think that money would be better spent somehwere else. Look around for a better price locally... www.craigslist.com
