specs on this car?

a buddy in my platoon wants to race me, he thinks he will win, he says he is pullin 230 hp in his ford focus 4dr st...i cant find any engine specs on it, we would have done a sprint race but it started to rain pretty bad, any help to quash this would be great. i honestly dont think he can pull 230 with a 2.3 or a 3.0 NA 4 cyl. stock. so, any help would be appreciated..

It can be done. The ST has more power than most focus' do. Ill be back later with the exact factory specs.....

What year is the st?

A 2.3 Focus stocks about 145 I think. Whoop his ass! If he's getting 230 out of it, he's got alot of mods.

i walked on my friends stock focus... and i have a single port ... you have a good chance that a focus will make you look like a 500 hp v8

Lol stock focus...even the svt and saleen foci only had 170hp...a regular one will get walked

Lol,

In houston one time doing about 45 just getting into 290 a Black Saleen Focous ran up to me and reved it... safe to say he got me buy about 2-3 cars. Which is also safe to say he sprayed it :p

mine is a 2003 mustang v6 vert...i looked under the hood and everything is stock, nothing, no forced induction, no nos, not even a CAI...im not sure what year, but looked pretty new...

as long as its not a SVT focus or a Rs8 focus ( V8 focus ), or a SALEEN focus that comes with nitrous then u may be ok

can u say smokeage lol a stock focus 4dr its a 2.0 Ecotech isnt it? or is it 2.3? if thats stock u will stomp him. he just thinks he is quick cuz he is light and probably has 3.73 in it stock. but thou art have torque on your side lol

The saleen foci don't come with nitrous they are just set up for it...you gotta buy a bottle seperate. And the rs8 is only overseas...other than that take em
