Car is throwing codes.
SES light went on monday afternoon after normal driving.. i got these
P0172 and P0175, bank 1 and bank 2 are running rich. My car seems like it's driving normal.. but when i reset the computer, the SES is still on. What do you guys think? 02 Sensors? the guy at Adv. Auto said fuel injectors.. |

Pretty much
My cars felt uber slow since i put my new wheels and tires on though. That's just because they're a lot heavier then the stockers i think. everything smells the same too.. |

i would guess your cats are plugged. if you are crafty and want to experiment, drill a 3/8" hole all the way through your two rear cats and clean off your o2 sensors.

It could be injectors cycling more than they should, it could also be a bad HOS. However a bad HOS could be caused by fouling due to excessive rich mixture, and this can also cause fouled cats. Drilling out cats is a bad idea. They're expensive. Get an O/R pipe if you're concerned. First thing I'd do is clean the HOS's and test them. Fouled cats may be a symptom of the problem, but they are not the problem. If it was just bad cats you'd get a catalyst efficiency code, not a rich code. If the sensors are good and you continue to get rich codes, it could be injector related.

You dont have an email tune right?
i had the same codes for half a year before i got a better tune. Did you try an replace your upstream o2 sensors? i doubt on a stock tune you would be throwing this code unless theres something wrong with your o2's. A car running a stock tune should not throw a rich code if everything is running right. How many miles are on your car? i would replace the o2 sensors before messing with the cats. Do the cheapest thing first...o2's usually go bad on these cars once you have 100k+ miles anyway.
