major vibration when driving

The other day i was driving 70mph in the rain and hit the brakes because some jerk off decided to cut infront of me... but any way i guess i hit the brakes a little harder than normal but didnt lock up the wheels or any thing. Immediately after the car developed this really intense vibration slowed down to 50 mph nd it was still crazy so i pulled over (thought i had a flat tire). I left the engine running and inspected the car but there was nothing wrong that i could see. I started driving again and every thing was fine back to normal.

any way this happened again yesterday out of nowhere but i had to get to work and just kept driving and then every was fine like a minute later.

my brakes do rub and i was thinking its like a warped rotor. kinda feels like a horrible alignment.

any way any suggestions? or what do you guys think?

thanks

probably a warped rotor.

What about an out of balance tire or maybe alignment issue.

retorque your wheels, do a visual inspection and test the rotors. then get back to us. does the vibration change with rpm's or speed?

im wondering if the slide pins in the caliper are sticking like once in a blue moon and thats causeing the occasional vibration. but when i normally break it doesnt seem to do it so that why im a little worried. wtf. i guess ill take off the wheels and check all the rotors

Alignments will NEVER cause a vibration.

Sounds like you experienced a break shimmy though. Basically the breaks kept 'grabbing' for a moment.

Does your car have ABS? If so, then it is a normal occurrence.
