How do u install a windstar intake & where can I buy one the whole kit

yes you'll loose your EGR for emissions so you'll have to have the code killed with a tune

you can retain your EGR with the kit Vap sells if you want, a special EGR bracket is included with the kit.

does it displace the EGR to the side? or do you need a taller hood to except it?

You use the EGR bracket from the windstar van its a lower profile

ah i see...well that's handy...but i'd just delete it and use a tune...looks cleaner to me

If you dont have emissions i would get rid of it.

Cleans up the engine bay a bit.

Installation is straight forward... My only problem was tearing a gasket on the intake when setting it on the lower intake. Delete the egr, it looks cheesy with that hose he sends in the kit

My opinion is that i dont think they would have put it on the car if there was no use for it. I know that you can delete them without a problem but has anyone had any, fuel mileage dropped extremely low, CATS or mufflers got clogged soon after, etc..

to clarify i know that without EGR system you would fail emissions testing if your state has it, but im wondering if there is ANYTHING, ANYTHING else at all the EGR does for you.

Only reason I haven't deleted it already is that we have emissions. And I already don't have cats...shit lol

I know you can turn it off in a tune but still.
