porting
i have been reading the forms and noticed alot of people say i would like to forge my internals or port my internals things like that... i was just wondering what does all that mean?? i know if u want to have a lot of power like a turbo or s/c etc.. u need to forge your internals i have no idea what that means... what does it do... what do u need to do in order to do that... and what does it consist of?? just explain what forging does to your engine and how u do it... and do the same for porting... thanks guys... and sorry for all the stupid questions im not very car savvy

Forged internals:
Would basically be buying stronger parts (rods/pistons/crank)that wont go _boom_ under alot of stress. (nitrous hits or boost) porting: would simply be opening up something(heads/upper intake/lower intake) to make the air flow better. polishing: would be cleaning everything up to make it smooth inside for better air flow. I could get really technical but that should give you an idea of what you want lol....
