Actually.. if you kindof think about it...
Velocity is the speed of Air traveling.. Put 1 straw in your Mouth. BLOW HARD.. Feel the air moving quickly? Put 2 Straws in your mouth. BLOW HARD.. Feel the slower air? But then again, I haven't payed Shop after shop to do my car for me so I don't know anything about how air travels through a pipe.

now image having two straws, both people would give out less velocity per straw, but in total, the velocity would be greater due to the fact that there is more space and exits for the air to travel. the reason i say this is because you have 2 headers, not just one, two pipes already, so this example makes sense.

It's ok man no doubt....but it could sound a lot better. The difference between those two midpipes you are talking about is that an h pipe is deeper, andy more classic sound. An x pipe is a bit more raspy ,but can sound good with the right muffler setup. Those mufflers are ready pretty raspy so I would recommend first. BTW you said you didn't want a dual setup so what's up with asking about a mid pipe. Just curious....hope we can help you decide on what you want to do next if you arent 100% satisfied as of right now.

i mean i wanted a dual set up just the cost was a factor. I am probably going to invest in a dual here soon since i am not 100% satisfied. don't get me wrong its the sound i was looking for but its just not loud enough. okay so you recommend an h pipe? what brand you think? is there any other solution to making it sound louder other than duals?

as for what can make it louder...you can remove the cats...it's illegal, but there are ways to get around the law. |

simple option if you can afford it. in my opinion however, dual borlas are PLENTY loud enough driving around. any louder and I'd start to get drone and get pissed because my own car is loud. just saying there's a differece between loud and too loud. it can definately ruin the quality of the sound if its blasting your head off.

My advice go with some dual flow 10s I had a single Borla stinger on mine and hated it then I had to live with it until I had the money for duals. I heard flow 40s on a v6 last night at a car meet and I personally like 10s more. They are nice and quite until about 1500 rpms at least on my 98.
