How much hp can you expect
With a 02 mustang 3.8l v6 with a base hp of 190hp, putting $10grand in?
How much hp will you gain putting that much money into the engine? (wanna do force injection if possible) |

^^ Why do all that then use a handheld tuner?
I believe the specific topic is INTO A V6 - so saying swap is pointless. $10K spent right will net you more power than you'll ever need on the street out of a V6. $10K for a new 5.0L, huh?

You could make 500rwhp for way less than 10k. Thats if you do the work yourself.
Built motor, custom cam, split port heads, 66mm turbo, fuel, and maybe a few trans mods you could have a 10sec sleeper for around 6k.

for 10 grand I agree with a 4v big turbo swap.
but 10k into a v6 could net you some pretty big numbers... |

10k
Forged, stroked, P&P H/I, cam, 2 stage nitrous at about 150 each/ pretty good size turbo, fuel, 8.8 w/ gears, tuner, dyno, and decent size DR's and get the fuck down the road. But you wont get far if you floor it, might want a new tranny or rebuilt

No need for a 66, 6262 will make 500. Torres was close to 500 with his old sc61 or whatever it was.

He asked about modding a V6, not buying a new car or swapping a V8. He also clearly stated a $10K budget... which means he isn't going to want to make payments. In fact nothing in his original post suggests a swap or different car. (Edited to not get drawn into a pissing contest.)

How do you read tone? Lol
Anyway .. For ten grand, I wouldn't bother with the 6. You can find an sn95 Cobra for that price with some left over for mods. Just my advice .. If I had decent money to begin with, it would NOT be spent on this car.

10k, shit, thats plenty. However, consider trading the car you have and using 6-8k of that money you would spend on modding as a down payment. Get a base 5.0. Then save the other 2k to make a few months of payments while you get some time to save etc...
