quick question
This guys selling an 8.8 rear its from a 93 but his front end got totaled can i put that rear on my 01 v6? Hes selling it for 100 i think its a steal lol

Yes you can. Just be aware that it is roughly 1" shorter than your current rear end so you'll need to run wheel spacers.

thanks im currently running wheel spaces now becuz my tires r 275 and rubbed against my muffler pipes but thanks alot

Well, the other issues are that the rear from a '93 is going to have drum brakes on it and be 4-lug.
Basically, it's not $100 and you swap it in, you're gonna have to buy some additional parts and do some work. Or you can just find the rear end from a '94 or newer and not have to do anything to it.

1.75" shorter, 4 lug, drum brakes.
I had done my research on 8.8s about a week ago, better to just buy a 99-04. |

Depends how you want to use the car and why you want the limited slip in the first place.
If you're going to be drag-launching it, especially if you're going to do so on sticky tires, you're gonna want the extra strength of the 8.8 (even if only for peace-of-mind). If this is a DD, or your aggressive driving actually involves turning the steering wheel, the 7.5 is plenty, and actually has some advantages (biggest being less rotating mass).
