I found one, looked at it, seems ok. The SES light is on though (says its been on since he got it)? Car seems good, but has 150k miles like the title says. New clutch and stuff. Should I worry? Someone told me that SES is probably DPFE sensor?

If you are willing to spend that much on a car you should have the code properly checked, not guessed at... Find out what the code is before you buy it.

How long did the PO have it? If the light is on with that many miles it probably just needs a tune up, or possibly o2 sensors are shot.

Take the car for a test drive. Drive to an auto parts store. Have the code pulled (they usually do it for free). Come back to us with the code (not all auto parts store employees are good at their job like 6er).

^This. maybe tell the guy you want to take it for a test drive, go to autozone, get the code, come back here, then tell the guy that your not sure what the code is and as far as you now it can be extensive work to be done, talk him down some more.

i spent 2500 on my 99 it had 218xxx on it then now ive got 236xxx.
Look over the whole car check all the fluids ask about how it was maintained. Also pull up the trunk floor carpeting to check for rust. These love to rust there.

@op...everytime i'm car shopping i take it to a shop or auto store when i test drive it (i plan this ahead of time)...if i can get it to a lift i'll get it in the air...this has saved me from buying a screaming yellow GT that was bottomed out so bad i was worried the underside of the car (it had a slight pull while driving)....at any autoparts i'll have the computer scanned just incase the seller has pulled the CEL bulb out of the cluster...just because it's not on doesn't mean someones not trying to F me over lol

sence i believe i saw that you have a 95 mustang or somthing along tht line keep the 2300 save for another year or when ever and get a gt preferably the 94/95 (5.0) or a 99-04 gt

thts what im doing ..i went from a single port to a multi port and auto to a stick shift adn was happy for about 6 months(still am) but i want more and if you just looking for a nice dd then forget what i said theres my 2 cents and i just wanted to beat wendell to the "...get a gt" line
