AC compressor help

I have a 2002 v6 and the ac compressor will occasionally make a very loud noise like the bearings are shot. I'm not sure if it's the compressor itself or if it's the pulley or clutch. When I turn the ac on the clutch will kick on and then stop after a short period of time but then it will move a little bit like its trying to turn.

Does anyone know what I'm experiencing here? If so what do I need to do to fix this. Thanks for any help!

It sounds like the clutch on the ac compressor is bad. It could be that the compressor is seizing up and is damaging the clutch. Usually a rebuilt compressor comes
with the clutch.

You think my best bet would be just to get a new compressor or reman?
