your most likely at least going to need a new ECU, fuel system adjustments maybe, and some other things. i could only think of those two. haha.

I'm putting a 351w into my 2000 "Sixxer" as we speak. It's essentially the same motor design.

Is it worth it?
Yes, if money isn't an issue for you.

Stock for stock it wont perform any better until you throw mods at it.
My swap will be push 15 grand easy(But also not a stock motor)

Parts needed.
-All Electricals
-K member
-Driveshaft from a 94-95
-Driveshaft spacer if it is a pre 1994 transmission
-Transmission mount.
-Throttle cable
-Clutch Cable
-K Member(I ordered a tubular one for 425)
-Bunch of other odds and ends

What year motor and trans is it?

Okay these are your main issues to work on.

The shifter will sit about 5/8 inches forward so it will not align perfect in the shifter hole. There are two ways to address this.

-Buy a 94-95 Bellhousing and input shaft

-Cut the shifter hole bigger and run a tri-ax shifter to move the shifter towards you a little.

Option B comes with a couple more drawbacks. Your transmission crossmember will not align perfect. You can modify it to work. The driveshaft will need a driveshaft spacer since the trans is 5/8 inch towards the front. You will need a driveshafter spacer from Steeda.

I am buying a pre 94 trans as you are. I opted for going with the 94-95 input shaft and bellhousing.

Either way you should be okay.

The above statement is assuming your are putting a manual in.

Also if you are an auto swapping to a manual, you need a clutch pedal assembly
