Manually Locking TQ Converter

Do you guys see any gains in installing a switch to manually lock the TQ converter (engage the converter lock solenoid manually) this will allow the transmission to upshift but wont down shift untill the TQ is unlocked (the switch is off and the pcm controls the solenoid) this should add a little mor power in the power band range because if the converter is locked you will not lose any power from fluid drive. Also a possibility of Marginally improved Fuel millage keeping it locked untill you come to a sopt then you must turn the switch and allow the pcm to re take control other wise you will stall when coming to a stop if the converter is locked (like not putting in your clutch in a manual) What you guys think?
