Question

Power Steering question

I need some help with my power steering. Three days ago my poweragain steering pressure line got a hole in it so I replaced it. I also replaced the powersteering pump and pulley, because it was cracked, and I flushed all the old fluid out and replaced it with new fluid.
The problem is my power steering is really loud while idling like if there was no fluid in it but it is full, and it gets extremely loud when I rev it.

Try slowly turning your steering wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right.

If its a reman, you could have purchased a faulty one. Happened to me, two times in a row. Get it replaced from where you purchased it

Thanks, I went to my mechanic and he said it is the valve sticking in the pump, so I get to waste more time pulling this one off and get yet another replacement. Yep this reman company is going to get an ear full if I get another faulty pump.

ford pumps are usually pretty loud. typical. try some lucas transmission fix. sometimes gets it a little quieter. sometimes does nothing.
