well nothing really, possibly just hanger positions on the tips because a v6 bumper doesnt have cut outs. other than that they should be the same.

the mid pipes are different. on the gt's they have a factory h-pipe and the cat backs hook up right behind the h-pipe. the v6 mustangs have a factory y-pipe and the cat backs hook up to it.

And no, you can not simply bolt up a GT exhaust system to a v6. Fabrication can 'always' make things work, but look for something made specifically for a v6, and also your specific model year range, in your case, 01-04.

completely different midpipe my friend...

@OP...you have two good options to get a good aftermarket dual exhaust

1. have a shop custom fab your setup (most go this route to keep costs down)

2. buy a midpipe adapter that allows you to attach an aftermarket GT exhaust to you're car...

any specific questions besides the ones answered?

He asked the difference between the exhaust systems. There is NO difference.

You just need a dual exhaust mid-pipe (MAC, Pypes, Pacesetter, Jegs) to allow the piping to stay with a dual set-up. The rest will then bolt on.

You also need a set of hangers for the second muffler

Dont even have to buy an exhaust system, most shops can get what you need themselves.

^^ This works too. They can in general fab the entire system starting after the headers if you want them too.
