Hey, where can I go to have gears installed? What I mean is who will install them. For instance will a transmission shop install gear, will a performance shop, etc

Most shops can do them. Just find out if they normally do them. Like anything else their is more than one way to set up a gear. Some will take short cuts that will cost you in the long run (Noise, slop). Just make sure the shop you go with has done them before and has a good reputation. I have seen several places put in a gear and it makes noise, they then blame the gears. This is normally not true. So do some research.

I'll be traveling like an hour away just to have mine put in because there were others on here who have had good service by them, all about word of mouth.

^^ True that. Just start calling places in the phone book. If you have a local Mustang forum ask around there. Sometimes you can find people that have done them before and will be willing to do them or help you do them for a lot cheaper.
