Just a quick thought before I start cutting my coils.
I have 16 inch wheels. Should I cut a fraction of an inch more?? |

No. Anything over 1.5 Inch and you might end up needing CC plates to get proper Alignment. =P
I MIGHT be mistaken though. as you can see, My Car still sits like a Pick Up Truck.

you'll be fine on 16's....that's what my old v6 use to rock on cut springs...
1.25 coils off the front and 1 coil off the back is my favorite setup |

^^ yes exactly! I cut a coil all around and I like how the back sits but I still want to cut another 1/4 coil off the front

I was going to start cutting my springs this week but be dad says ill just fuck up the way it rides because when you cut them you take away the part of the spring that allows them to sit flush

I cut mine about 1.5 years ago (i also installed new shocks and stuts). I cut them b/c I wanted to see how I would like the height in comparison to what the Eibach Pro-kit would do. To this day, the ride is still not bounces and nobody can even tell they are cut vs. new springs so the spring kit has always been a side project when it comes to other mods I'd like to do. Eventually I will replace the springs. Also, I had the car aligned after the install and am only SLIGHTLY out of chamber from spec. I will add that I also installed shorter struts / shocks from the fox body model. |

always..and i mean always...cut your springs so that they have the same end...this is one of the reasons some people fuck up on them....they don't cut them right |

![]() but anyway, in this case, cutting straight through the spring should be fine or do i need to do any more adjustments after? just trying to make sure i dont have to digg into my eibach springs piggy bank faster then intended.

as for cutting it...i use a 4" angle grinder..no torch or anything like that...you don't want to heat them up. if your spring has a flat end before cutting..cut it so the end looks the same...if it's angled...then do the same finish. |
