Got some new goodies for the stang...

Well, the car has been stagnant for a while, just been driving it with nothing new other than a muffler change.

I bought a bumpsteer kit and installed it back in June to correct a toe issue, and the shop did it wrong and I burned through a new set of tires in about 3 months. Bought some new tires and took it to another shop that says they got they didn't need the bumpsteer kit and got the stock kit to work. So i had this $150 bumpsteer kit sitting here unused. Damn those things are hard to sell.

Well last week a guy calls me up and wants the bumpsteer. He doesn't have much cash but is willing to trade for BBK upper/lower control arms. Not my first choice of control arm, but since I am short on cash my bushings are shot, figure it couldn't hurt.

Come to find out he also had an extra Cobra steering wheel it was looking to recover in a custom leather and then sell the one on his Mach 1 now. Talked to him for a while and ended up trading him my stock V6 wheel for his Leather 03 Cobra wheel. Gave him my wheel and $40 and he gave me the Cobra wheel.

Should be installing everything Wednesday while the wife is prepping for Turkey Day.

can't wait to see how she feels!

Also, found some stuff I'm getting for Christmas. The in-laws are buying me subframe connectors and my mom is buying me new valvesprings so I can install my cam. Woot!

The steering wheel is the one that says 'Cobra' on it? Meh...

^^ +1 not a fan of mismatching trims..but its your car!

Xtreme, Im assuming your looking into m112 kits? Just curious. I kinda want to see an m112 build!

The air bag is what says cobra. you can swap in a cobra steering wheel and use the stock pony air bag. the cobra steering wheels are double wrapped leather and a lot nicer.

Exactly. Not using the airbag, just the leather steering wheel. Mine is peeling.

On this motor I am using a 212/220 .55 112 lsa.

Will be good NA and still cooperate with the M112. Then when I forge the bottom end I'll swap to a 218/226 and probably sell this motor.

Yea I have the full kit sitting here, just perfecting my box adapter. Will finish it when I do the cam swap here in a couple of weeks, and then send the specs off to the machine shop to get it cut out and welded.

Only thing I still need to source is Injectors, and I have several local people with them, just don't want to buy 8. I have 2 left over from my last build, so only really need 4. There is a guy on eBay selling 4 for $80, but I can get 8 for $120 which is a better deal but then I have 4 extra lol

Why not get the cam you want the first time ? That makes no sense ?

I got the cam I currently have sitting here at a very good price. It will work fine for my stock motor, and give me some gains in the NA trim. It will also work well with the supercharger, and allow me to get gains there as well.

however, once I forge and up the boost, I would then up the cam rating for the higher flow...

And I would like 42s, but would take 39s if I found some for a good price.
