My 00 gt does the same exact thing. It happens when I go to stop and push in the clutch or when im turning. I was told it was the IAC (which I knew it wasnt) and replaced the IAC. Well that did not solve the problem at all. Ive noticed that when it is about to die, even if I hit the gas it will not help at all. This leads me to believe its fuel related. Hopefully I can figure it out soon.

00Premium, definitely sounds like a fuel starvation problem for you...

zacman, try to pay attention next time it does it. Would try cleaning the IAC, also are you a manual or automatic transmission?

Im leaning more towards a fuel problem. Fuel is the catalist that ignites in the cylinder. If the air is shut off, it would run super rich. Thats my theory anyway.

The reason your rpms drop while turnin at low speeds is because the power steering is developing pressure making a load on the engine. To compensate the engine idle is supposed to increase. Idle may just be too low or a bad coil. Sounds like gtpremiums prob maybe a bad COP

Battery dying while your running wont cause the car to die, Alternator will though.

get your alternator tested....it's free and then you can check it off your list if it's not the problem...always start with free > cheap > pricey when looking for an issue lol

Thanks bro Ill check it out. I have a haynes manual and I think it tells you how to test cops. Ive had 2 motors and both have had this stalling problem. Also sometimes when Im doing wot, my battery light will come on at about 6k rpms and will shut off after I shift. Better get my alt checked too.

EDIT: I just checked my cops and a couple of them the ohms were all over the place so Im going to replace all of them. Why cant ford make anything cheap lol
