Tail-Pipe Dragging On Ground

I have a 1998 mustang v6 with a single tailpipe on the back left. It has been dragging on the ground for a while, I think due to a mishap involving a curb. There is a metal hanger piece sticking off of it and I can see where the pipe would have been placed to keep it from dragging. I have tried jacking up the pipe, but unless that metal hanger were moved back a couple inches, I wouldn't be able to place it back in its proper place. On a side note, my mechanic told me I am missing a rubber piece that would prevent the tail pipe from vibrating my car's frame. Any ideas on how to put my tail pipe back where it belongs without an expensive mechanic visit?

Thanks for the advice. Any idea on where the hanger would need to rest?

If the pipes don't line up do to being bent, I have been able to pull things back into place using a chain hoist. The manual shows some rubber hangers similar
to what is shown above.

I bought a rubber grommet that, according to the packaging, goes with my model car. I put it on the metal piece, but there is nothing for it to hold on to. Is there possibly a piece/hanger that is missing on my car?

Here are some pictures:

yeah your hanger is missing...probly fell off and took your old rubber piece with it...you can

a. buy a new hanger for around $3 and fix it yourself after bolting up the new hanger

b. go to a shop and get charged $5-10 to lift it up and get a hanger installed

Okay I solved the problem. I took back the rubber grommet and bought a harness that hooks to the tailpipe and the metal piece. It was only $5 and it holds very well. Thank you everyone for your quick and helpful responses!
