ebay has a set of front ones that are knock offs for $100 for everything up front... some one on here said that they had them on their rx and stang... they might work ... i don't know though

are slotted really better for stopping the average road driver? Or are they just for looks if you have rims you can see enough through? If they are better, does it then depend on having good calipers and pads?

they r more cool and i'm talking about tempeature... so it makes em better and also better calipers and pads r recomended for full performance. u could put in the stock caliper but u woulnt be usin the rotor full potential

yea the slots and the cross drilled make it so that the pads arent rubbing constantly on a flat surface which would cause more it, as el cangri said, its all about keeping them cooler, which in turn will help everything last longer

um partially right.....
the drilled holes = vents to keep it cooler makes sense eh..
But make the rotors more liable to wrap or crack/break under hard pressure

slots = clean flat even surface used for break pads so you get the full potential of the brake pad and it won;t have the chance to warp since the slots shave a bit of it off at a time.
But with these slots you'll be buying brake pads more often b/c of the shaving. i think i've seen the margin of 1/2 the time or sooner then regular rotors don't quote me on that though.

cheap stuff would be ebay.. but reliablity might not be there. so your better off going through an outlet or maybe a friend

and yes making things stay cool does help it last longer.. but putting holes in it create stress concentrations which affect stuff way before temperature ever will

well good brake system would be a very loco price but the best in class is..
this IMO the best

brembo 6 piston caliper (brembo makes great calipers)
baer crossdrilled rotors (baer, great rotor and r very ligth)
wilwood pads (wilwood best pads out there)

that's the best combo IMO but u would need some grands and is very exagerated (the stopping power)
