With my Mac Long Tubes, the EGR pipe lined up perfectly. My suggestion would be to bolt the EGR tube from rear to front by bolting it to the headers rear first, then front, then align the tube to be bolted to the pump on the front of the engine block. After you get it lined up, tighten down and reconnect the 2 rubber hoses. Let me know if you still have issues with it.

For the sound, yeah, the idle is not annoying because you have magnaflows, but right at 2800 rpm or so it loses all tone and is just plain LOUD!

For the tune, what is all done? Do you already have an XCAL2?

You should expect no less... That is the main reason I have not put the catback I have on it yet.

If you have the money now and don't plan on serious mods for the very near future, give Justin at VMPTuning a call and get his XCal2. He is the man when it comes to tuning the 3.8L, and you (if you have an auto) will get amazing shift points, 6k rpms redline, and an aggressive 93 octane tune that will get you upwards to 25 consistent rwhp throughout the entire power band.

Even if you delve into a cam or something in the future, the XCal2 can be used to tune again, as Justin can email you a new tune for 25 bucks.

I have no idea what hp I put out. I don't even know what I weigh in at. I ran a best of 14.97 @ 92.37 at SGMP in March on a broken tranny. A guy with the exact same setup but a manual and 3.73s ran a 14.6. I expect to run (with stripped interior) a 14.7.

Oh, and I beat any and all stock 96-98 gt's at the track and run with the new edge gt's all night.

I had the same problem with the EGR tube on my Hooker headers. I had to take it loose at the intake to gain enough play to get it hooked up.

Where is it leaking from? I had no leaks at the heads or at the collector pipe. My only leaks were at our welds to make the mid pipe, and a muffler shop fixed that for us.
