Its obviously the Door jam switch that activates the light when the door is open guys. replace the switch its the humidity and just wear and tear that has caused its down fall.

well i dont think its that easy on a mustang, they dont have the little pin things , theres no visible sensor that i see in there. but might i remind u that this only happens when its hot outside. so that makes me think its not the sensor thing

yes it happens cuz the heat/humidity causes the switch to stick beleive me the Explorer Eddie Bauer edition had this same issue and it became so bad it turned into a recall. just replace the switch.

your right i beleive the door ajar/ courtesy lamp switch is embedded in the latching system in the door. just ignore the issue your battery saver will shut the light down after 10 min

Ok dude remove the door panal and look at the latching mechanism its the only electrical connector on it thats the dome light/door ajar sensor. unplug it and remove it and then try cleaning it and then lube the latching system with super lube. then reinstall
