T56 or T6060
Any info on a 6 speed on a 3.8?
I've seen a 4.0 with a T6060. I don't know if I should rebuild my T5 (stronger of course) or go with and extra gear and it be a bit stronger. I want a bit my fuel economy. Really what I'm asking is, how can I get a 6 speed in my car.

Its not fun, and its really not worth it...
Other than saying "hey I have a t56/6060 in my v6"

you can use the same bellhousing that is used to hook up a t-56 to a 302w. search google and youll find it.

Well I might be going turbo if kyle will ever get back to me. But I might built the T5 stronger. I got a quote for around $440 for a master OH kit, and billet keys. Apparently good for 350lb.

What about the m5od? It came on the super coupe's so it should be able to handle some power. Similar engine to the Mustang's so it should be able to bolt up, right? But I'm just speculating, I've never tried it.

I'm sure a TKO can. But what I'm building it to will be enough for what the engine should be putting out.
Anyone know of a good clutch that can hold up to about 350FWHP?

Locally we have seen t5s take 600 plus horsepower with bone stock components. Granted they are the world class t5s but same concept.

Those are 5 speeds. I have a 5 speed. I want a 6 speed. I am rebuilding my T5 if I do not go with a six speed.

The TR6060 takes quite a bit of clearancing to fit, the T56 fits no problem. Easiest way to do it is find a wrecked 03-04 Cobra being parted out. Get the transmission, crossmember, shifter and driveshaft. Optionally you can get the trans. harness, clutch cable, etc. to make it a little easier. You'll have to use a SBF/T56 bellhousing of course, I know Quicktime makes a couple that would work, only differences being where the clutch fork is clocked. Wiring differences between the T5 and T56 are easily sorted out also. The only thing i'm not sure of is getting the clutch and flywheel correct. I've done alot of swaps, but never a 3.8/4.2 to a T56. You may try calling D&D Perf. and they may be able point you in the right direction.

I would just do a tko swap (oddly enough I have one in the garage)
Anyway Chris Torres (remember him?) he broke his gforce twice I think with his car lol... But then again he ran the piss out of that thing.
