Finally gonna do the swap

Hey guys, i finally bought a parts car so that i can do my v6 to v8 swap. I bought the car for just over 3k but i plan on recouping about 2k if not more pretty easily after i sell a bunch of parts. Heres what the car i just bought has that will all be swapped over

VT 302 Stroker motor, 9.2:1 compression with forged crank, manley rods and cp pistons.
VT stage 2 heads with oversized valves and comp beehive springs
VT stage 2 n/a cams
Ford Racing Intake
JLT RAI
Mac longtube headers
30lb injectors
SVT Focus fuel pump
Mac off-road h-pipe
a/c delete
mach 1 radiator
Centerforce dual friction clutch
pro-motion t-45 with carbon fiber synchos, hd key sets
pro-motion clutch cable, adjustment, firewall adjuster

UPR tubular k-member with coil overs 210#
Lake wood 90/10 struts
Mac caster camber plates
Kenny brown sub frame connectors
UPR pro series double adjustable upper/lower control arms
UPR pro series spherical bushings
Strange 10-way adjustable shocks
Lakewood driveshaft safety loop
33 spline moser axles with c-clip elimators
Moser spool
Ford racing 4.10 gears
Mac differential cover

Centerline telstars 15x4 up front with metric radials
Centerline telstars custom 15x10 rear with Hoosier QTPs 26 x 11.5 x 15
New smoked headlights

Im super excited. All im gonna need to get is a new clutch. But should be a lot more fun to cruise around in after the swap. Ill make a write up with lots of pictures for all of you guys that eventually want to make the leap to the dark side

Its its completely gutted and meant for drag racing. Other than that the only thing it really needs is a clutch. I really just want to build my v6 as a weekend cruiser that might see the strip once a year. Plus Id like to say "hey I built it" and hope to learn a lot more about my car while doing it. Never plan on getting rid of it so it starting as a v6 doesn't bother me at all. Also the sentimental value of mine overcomes fixing the gt

I would have both. I'm sure it would be cheaper on insurance to put the V8 in a car that is registered as a V6. But too much effort. Body swap vs. clutch swap... I can do a clutch in less than 2 hours.

Agreed. I can't for the life of me see tearing apart a perfectly fine running car. That's one sexy bitch, too!

If youre going to do it anyway, just drop the entire thing out of the bottom. If it fits. lol

I was going to say the same thing. He would be crazy to tear that good car apart. Put a clutch in it and call it the day.

Yeah yeah. I know you guys think I'm crazy for doing that. But sara beth (the v6) just means too much to me and I think it will be a fun project. I'm not gonna just throw it away afterward I'm probably gonna find a salvage and just take it back to stock. Plus the body on the gt is in rough shape. Little dents and dings all over the place and underneath has quite a bit of surface rust whereas the v6 doesn't. I do know how easy it would be to fix the gt but I really want to have an awesome project

I really think you're making a mistake by tearing apart that GT.

Agreed. You're out of your mind.

If I would have found a Cobra on the cheap, I wouldn't have bought it to swap over to my car, I would have sent that bitch to the crusher and driven the Cobra.

Sidenote: I bought my GT for $3500 with a bunch of mods. Didn't think it was that stellar a deal.

To each his own. Id rather have a clean title v6 that I put together than a salvaged gt the somone else put together and doesn't look anywhere near as good as the v6. I think its a good project.
