To drive to mechanic, leave car their and wait for car to be done repaired(brakes), probably 4 hours. Did it yourself you could had been done 1 1/2 hour tops. so how is it you dont have anytime?

I cut my own hair. I asked my friend why do he not cut his own hair, he said i dont have any time. I said how long it takes you to drive to barber, wait for him to finish somebody else haircut, get your haircut, then drive back home.. He said usually under 1 1/2-2 hours..

I laughed so hard.. takes me 40 min to cut my own hair

Anyway, OP hire somebody off craigslist and buy your own parts next time
no need to be an ass to the guy...he'll learn about his car soon enough with our help

I need to choose between:
72K Engine + 2yr Parts & Labor Warranty + Labor + Transport = $1735.00
0K Reman Engine + 3yr Parts & Labor Warranty + Labor + Transport + Core charge = $2790.00

For a breakdown of these numbers, click here.

Do these numbers sound right?

If taken care of, how long will the 72K mile engine run?

also where the hell are you getting some of your prices lol
to be honest it is hard to sell, I have an emotional bond with my 01 Ranger and she'll never be sold if i break something then I have the knowledge to fix it, now for the Mustang i just got it today so I have no bond with it yet but soonn enough I will

Your not listening again.. Get a used engine from craiglist or the junkyard for $500, then I would find somebody off craigslist to put it in/

A used junk yard engine with 80k miles will last a loong time. My brother has 230k on his v6 3.8 still running strong..

A engine will run how long you take care of it. Keep oil change and etc, and you can easily get 250k miles out of a engine.

But good luck with everyone and I wish you the best.. But I would just buy a used $500 engine then put a Windstar intake on it for $350 http://www.vapauto.com/windstar.htm

So I thought about this. But my mechanic said it'd cost A LOT more to do that..

You've already proved him wrong though. So, please, enlighten me.

EXACTLY what would I need to do a v8 swap?

Links to the parts would be awesome.

They are in my area. I had mechanics from firestone, Ford and more advertising on Cl and I always use to get my car fix by them for a very low price
