Question

Resonators?


I was wondering what i can do to make my mustang any louder?? Would buying the loudmouth resonators be any good?? Would headers make it louder? Im not in a hurry since i just got my dual and im heading more into appearance such as sequintial tail lights and stuff

if you want it louder you have a few options....going from the stock manifolds to long tube headers would do....of course the exhaust will need to be re-fabbed for this...you can also remove your cats to make it louder....of course this is illegal but many do it anyways.

what type of dual exhaust did you go with...that will help with this.

Soooo you got your duals but didn't think of your muffle choice BEFORE you got it done...

Short version of my rating is stay with flowmaster, sllp loudmouths are indeed deffinetly louder, loudmouth resonators are practically straight piping your car. It will sound like crap. If you wanna sound like a rice rocket with a fart can go for it its your car

he's not asking about mufflers...he's asking about resonators

i was the one asking about mufflers lol...just curious what he had put on

no i got what i wanted i got divorced duals with flowmaster 40s on them. i love them but i know this guy who has a v6 and his is louder on idle but mines louder on accelaration i guess what im actually going for is a nice deep rumble. my car has a rumble but its not satisfying

That's what I said lm resonators are what I had on my 97 v6 it was loud and then after a while it got anoyying but it did shut the ricers up on loudness scale but I'm not proud of that lol but it was ok of a tone till bout 2.7k ...stick with chambered mufflers....op stick with chambered

well if you want deep rumble you want a nice midpipe added on...if you want loud you want to take the car to the illegal side lol...

this isn't a great vid, but it's a good comparison on what even a muffler change can do for rumble....

haha i dont want to go to the illegal side just yet i still dont have my liscense lol. okay i think the prochamber is what im looking for. ill keep it in mind as i said i really want to get the sequintial tail lights. oh one more thing is there any way to tighten up my driver side mirror cuz when my bass is up it goes crazy!!

well first i'd cut down on the bass...

2nd pull the door panel off (it's like a 2 min job)...tighten the 3 nuts holding the mirror onto the car...then put the door back on
