Quick help

hey guys, so i bought a ready remote do it yourself remote start install kit during the summer and never got around to putting it in. With the weather in MA in the teens now i wouldn't mind having it in the car to warm it up from the house like my truck use to. I know that i need to by some bypass for it but not sure which one. Does any bypass for a mustang work for any remote start? anyone have any advice on where to get one for a decent price? thanks!

Just search around. not sure on the best place, last time I checked Best buy had them for ~$40, but it's been a few years.

It's just any PATS bypass. Basically you put a spare key into the tumbler box and it constantly streams the signal to the ignition.

You can also accomplish this if you have a handheld tuner by simply requesting to have your tune modified to disable the PATS system. that's all the bypass does.

Yea, Just contact your tuner and tell them you need PATS disabled. Some will do it for free, others may charge you $20. Still cheaper and easier than the bypass.
