Reverse glow gauges question
ok, this is my first post so hopefully I got it in the right section
But I got the reverse glow gauges from AM about three months ago and they have been working and everything, but earlier today i was driving and they cut off then kinda faded back on a little bit then cut off completely again. when I got home I looked up under the dash and noticed the black wire coming off the little dimmer knob was broke off, so I crimped a little connector to it as a temporary fix before I could get it soldered back on, and it was a secure connection but the gauges wont come back on at all. I have the gauges wired through an add-a-fuse deal from autozone and then the negative just bolted to the metal frame under the radio area. I dont know if anyone is gonna know what I need to do to fix this, im not an electrician in any way shape or form, but could it be the dimmer knob needs to be replaced, I just need to rewire it all someway or did it short the whole thing out and its trash thanks |

Sounds like you trashed it. You didn't mention if your fuse was good though..
P.S. What part of Oklahoma?

yea the fuse looked good and I put it in a couple different slots with different fuses so the fuse probably isnt the problem, and I'm out in mustang ok

Well check every single bit of your wiring. If all your wiring is good, then you overlay is bad.

Sounds like the converter may have burnt out.
Check all your connections. I have the MAC White Face Gauges and like them a lot better than the reverse glows. The reverse was just too much going on, the MACs use the factory lighting at night and are just white during the day. Welcome from another Okie!

You might of stated this, but check your GROUND wire, in addition when you wired your pos. wire did you splice into the think grey wire for the headlights? Mine started to have that problem because my ground wasnt secured all the way. Fixed it and it looks ok.
