Cutting springs.. Couple of Questions.

So today im planning on cutting my springs with a little help from my dad and friends.. Ive read most of the threads on here about Cutting/lowering cars, yet i still have some questions. Q#1- When leaving off the ISO's, does this cause a metal on metal sound? Q#2-I have a convertible with 16'' Wheels, does 1 coil off back and 1.25 coils off the front sound about right?Q#3-How much more drop will you see with leaving the ISO's off? Any advice or if you have some more pictures would be much appreciated!!

Can't comment on the cutting, but leaving the ISOs off is said to lower the car about .5". Of course, this all depends on what condition the ISOs were in. Mine were thin as paper when I took them off, so they didn't do anything to begin with.

There will be a metal sound any time the system unloads (going fast over bumps, etc.). A simple way to solve this is to wrap the bottom coil with electrical tape to insulate the metal contact.

always start buy cutting less then you think you should. You can always cut more off. If you cut to much ... your screwed
