I had 4.10s and a Ford Racing tlok in my 5speed. Gas mileage went down about 2mpg tops (city/highway combined) but the gears were so much fun that my lead foot got abnormally heavy

Bump, I know I'm late on the response but let me just break it down for you
I have 3.73s in a 5spd...
Now I work approx 20 miles from my house, and on both the drive in and drive out I get both chances at highway and city ..forexample
Leaving my house for about half the ride is first a 40mph speed limit zone/area and I of course do 45 lol during that time I'm in 5th gear doin about 1400/1500rpm if I wanted to do 40 id down shift inot 4th and be doing @ 2000 mabey 2250 all the way up to 45mph before shifting back into 5th

Now about half way into my ride into work the speed limit goes from 45 to 55mph in that time I do about 55mph-60mph and during said time in 5th gear I am turning about 1950/2150rpms if I'm doing 60, if I'm doing 55 is like 1800rpms these are all approx due to I can never keep my speed the same but on a norm drive on the highway portion to work I'm in 5th doing about on average 2k rpms

Now I work only 4 days a wk, and during that time the trips along to and from work east up about half my tank and I do do some traveling around when I'm not working, but its not stupid travel its just from the store to mabey the mall or to a friends house who is like 5 miles down the raod

Basically on a normal week I get on average 250miles a tank the best I've gotton on a tank was 282 and the worst was 203...so you be the judge
