I am happy with my 555's. But I couldn't tell you the price of them... Ordered them as a package deal 18/9 & 18/10 with tires from American Muscle.. They are a good all around tire.

rims are 17x9 and 17x10.50
Ive got the Nt555's on the front. they are 245/45/17 They are a great handling tire. Ive had my tires squealing when cornering before, but ive never felt like Im totally out of control with them. Now as for the nt05's that I have on the back. Wow I love them. they are 315/40/17's and man do they hook. I had them on my fathers roush for a while Before I put them back on mine. They only thing I hate about them is the lack of tread. Every time I look at them I feel like im going to have to replace tires soon. I think when I do replace the rears, Im going to put the 315 nt555's on. ![]() ![]() I hate my extreme 4x4

Why do you put wider tires on the back?
I have 235/55/17 on my car all around and it seems fine to me. I dont see why people use wider tires unless they are drag racing Last edited by StoneColdStang; December 22nd, 2011 at 06:07 PM. |

I run the 555's up front (245/40/18) and still have Nexxen N300 on back (275/35/18).
The nitto's up front are nice, I liked the Nexxen's as well, time to get new rears and probably going with 555's at 285/35/18. Nexxen's lasted awhile and were a good tire, they actually run more pricey than the Nitto's I have (they came with the rims when I purchased them (new)). ...I run wider on back because I run a staggered wheel set up. Front rims 9"wide, rears 10.5". Weeeee. Edit: See garage for pics

Emphasis, read more type less.
I currently have on my 2004. (2) 18x9 Chrome Saleen Wheels (2) 18x10 Chrome Saleen Wheels (2) Sumitomo High Performance HTR Z II 275/35-18 Tires (2) Sumitomo High Performance HTR Z II 285/35-18 Tires My front tires last a couple thousand miles before becoming cupped. Within those couple thousand miles, ride quality is excellent, with little or no road noise. This is with an alignment, and no suspension issues. And I can't rotate my staggered directionals. So this summer I'm going to try my luck with the 555s and Black Saleens . |

![]() ![]() ![]() But yea when i bought the car it came with those, I plan to change them out in the summer. What determines what size tires I get in regards to the height size? I see people with 35/40/ and 45. What size should I get? |

and since you don't know....the center digits in a tire size is the percentage of the width which is the first set of digits...the final set of digits is the wheel size...easy enough right |

I recommend Pirelli P6. This particular tire has a somewhat softer compound which reduces the tendency for the rear tires to break loose during turns.
They are available at America's tire for around $100 each. |
