Which is the best suspension?
Planning on doing my cars suspension but there are several brands of shocks and struts,so I was wondering which one is the best to get.
1.Eibach Pro-Damper Kit -I prefer these 2.Tokico High Performance Shocks and Struts 3.Bilstein *I am not lowering the car*too many risks. ![]() I know some people prefer the Tokico because it is affordable but not the best. Then the Bilstein costs alot more but are better built. I have heard of Eibach and actually want to get those out of the three. What do you guys think? Oh,and do I HAVE to change my stock springs? And is there anything else I might need to complete my install? 2001 V6 120k miles convertible(don't know if it matters) Thanks alot ![]() Forgot to ask: By doing this install and NOT changing my springs, will this make my car look raised? Because I read that sometimes people experince this. I don't want that happening.

Just buy a set of lower springs if youre going to be doing the shocks\struts. From what I've heard, Eibach are a good brand.

Bilstein>eibach>tokico blues for shocks, what risks do you mean? Lowering is probably one of the best visual mods you can do

Bilstein and Konis are the best for shocks. I ran Tokico's one time and they failed.

I really don't want to lower the car. I want to try and keep the ride close to stock and just change the shocks and struts only..but with a good brand such as Eibach.
So I can say...I have an aftermarket suspension...lol

I know lowering will look HOT! Trust me...I think my car would be badAss lowered..and Iv'e even thought about it.It's just that I don't want it scraping. *sighs* I want it lowered but I don't...I can't decide.
OKAY..which spring can I get to go with the Eibach Pro kit that has the least amount of lowering? Here's what I want to get: http://www.americanmuscle.com/eibach-shocks-7904v8.html

If you are just changing the shocks, your ride height will not change. What risks are you worried about in lowering the car? can't really see what bumper you are running, but there are plenty of springs that will give you that performance feel without actually lowering your car.
Are things just starting to wear out or are you wanting to race?

The ford racing c springs or the eibach pro kit would be ideal.

I run Pro Kit springs and love it, Tokico 'Blue' Shocks n struts no issues whatso ever, good stock replacements.
I don't see a point in spending money on adjustable or high performance combo. if you won't be changing anything else in the suspension. A close to factory replacement will be fine.

It will effect the bumpsteer and camber angles to much when you excessively lower it to much not to mention you will lose ground clearance with your exhaust.

Is that a stage 2 roush front bumper? If so thats what my brother has on his car. He has H&R supersports on his car and does not scrape. Just to play it safe you could get a spring that doesnt lower it as much. Id suggest the eibach pro kit.

^^ true that! ripped my side pipes off coming off a lift. Next day nixxed the side pipes, put on dumps, and just started being more careful. Suspension is still the same.

"I run Pro Kit springs and love it, Tokico 'Blue' Shocks n struts"
That setup sounds good, anything else I might need? I do not want to race my car. I just want to replace my shocks and struts because they are rusted and one of the shocks is dented to where it looks like it would inhibit some motion. I DO however want an aftermarket suspension just so I can say "I have an aftermarket suspension"..lol. I know they have never been replaced and their is a little over 120k on the car. Might as well get something good. Just a good aftermarket suspension that is close to stock.*I don't want my fender well gap bigger* So it's either: Eibach shocks & struts with stock/C-springs or Tokico shocks & struts with Eibach springs or Monroe shocks & struts with Eibach springs

I'm a firm believer of installing CC plates on any suspension drop. Though You might be fine without them(other members should be able to chime in). I installed my suspension before getting the CCplates and i regretted not buy it all at the same time. Had to get two alignments and twice the amount of time to take everything apart and put it back together...
Just some food for thought... I run the bilstein shocks/struts and Steeda competition springs. The springs lowered my car 1.2" but i also installed ball joints which lowered it another .5ish. I rarely have scraping issues (I must have done something wrong).
