My mustang wont start i need help installind solenoid nd starter


My 95 v6 wont start i hear clicks but it wont start..the first thing that happened was my alarm stop working then my car wouldnt start nothin would turn on nd it was a new battery i changed the things that you put on the battery cuzz they were old car started up no problem for some weeks now it wont start lights and radio still comes on i took it to autozone they said it was starter then next thing you kno it started with no problem for some days then recently it wont start lights still come on i believe its the relay or alarm or soleniod can some help to wat i can do to start it or how to install soleniod or starter or alarm i need pictures if you have any


and how can i tell if its the starter or solenoid..? or something else


and when it finally does wanna start it starts up slow like it wont but then it does and wen it doesnt wanna start it juss clicks

The starter has the solenoid attached to it.

It certainly sounds like the starter. It is held in by two bolts one of which has a ground wire attached to it. First disconnect the battery ground (very important!). Then remove the two bolts and ground wire and lower the starter down with the other two wires attached to it. Disconnect the wires and take the starter to an auto parts store to be tested. Replacement is the reverse. The starter bolts appear to require a 1/2" wrench though a 13 mm will work.

In the unlikely event it isn't the starter check for voltage to the smaller wire that goes to the starter solenoid. It should have 12V when the key is in the start position.
