Speedometer stuck at full speed!

I just pulled my car out of my garage this morning, and when i came back to it i noticed my speedometer was stuck at 120. I did some research and came up with disconnecting my battery and letting it sit for a while. If that doesn't work, could it be the gauge, or a sensor or something?

is it at 120 when it's running or not running? if it's on all the time try the battery trick....if not then pop the cluster out and see if the needle is just stuck

He said when he pulled out and came back to the garage, so I'm assuming parked / idling.

yeah, its stuck at 120 while off. when i start it up, its still stuck. ill try disconnecting the battery and letting it sit to see if it will reset. otherwise ill pull the cluster and punch the needle in the face. But, before i do this, im taking a picture and telling everyone how fast i can drive and txt
