X Pipe?
NOTE: I’m completely new to this…
I was wondering would it work if I bought a x pipe along with two flowmaster 40s and had them install on my v6? Would it sound alright? ( I know it won’t sound like a v8) Will I see any performance gains? |

Xpipe's sound real raspy, esp. at high rpm's on these sixxers. Either go H-pipe (deeper tone) or divorced duels (no mid-pipe). Even firing engine allows this to be a possibility.
Flow 40's great choice for mufflers though.

OP post up in the 05-10 section http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums/2005-2010-v6/
we're just the lowly 3.8 pushrods haha However even tho your a 4.0 im pretty sure going with an x pipe is still a HORRIBLE idea (don't quote me on that) go with an h pipe, much better sound

Didn't realize he was 4.0 but statement still stands for no xpipe.
