Rear gear\Tune help!

I got a SCT Tuner about 4 months ago and I tuned my car for 373 rear gears....

(My previous owner said he had 373 rear gears installed but the car doesnt have a Tlock) (Which made me think today that maybe i dont have 373's)...

So Today i returned my car to stock and i saw a big difference in RPMS (obviously)...Then i entered a destination on my gps and it said 3 Miles and i reset my tripmeter, and when i reached my destination it said 3.0 miles, which is what my gps said it would be....

I also checked my speed when i was driving and my speedometer and the gps were off by like 1-2mph sometimes...

Does this mean that i dont have 373 rear gears? Because all this time ive been running the tune for it and it seems like i dint have them on my car

I'd personally pay less for a car with gears than a stock one. Gears ensure that the car has been beat on.

That is true haha, but does anyone know if i racked up more or less miles than i actually have since i had the car tuned for non existing 373s?

Also i cant install anything thatll drop my MPG bc i already get like 13-14mpg which sucks

I really hope i dint rack up too much extra miles if thats what happens

Another thing, you can have different gears and NOT have a Tlok on the V6.

well i would think less miles because you told it for every one rotation of the wheels you were turning the output shaft 3.73 times instead of 3.27....as you can see though thats not too much of a difference though it will read the output shaft sensor instead of the wheels....this is also probably the cause of your shitty mileage....

Who tuned it ?

Lay off pedal

Lift your rear and spin it and see how many revs you get ... (if you dont understand that, jsut google this stuff, plenty of explinations of how to test your gears.)

And worry about a tune up if your getting that shitty of mpg ...

Im not sure, my mechanic said its because i have a 2 12' subs in the trunk, and i have 10.5 rears with 295 tires, causing my car to be heavier.....

And trust me..I travel 20 miles a day, im not a superspeeder im calm on the pedal.. i literally switch at 2k rpms and cruise in 5th gear.... I still get 13-15 MPG

And its bama tuned

Get a new mechanic. My SUV does even drop that low hauling 4000lbs.

You need to find your problem and it's not the 50lbs on your trunk.

I know, Thats what i figured. But honestly i give up trying to find out the problem because first they told me it needs a tune up and some new brakes and rotors, spent around $800 on that...

Then they said i should get a TUNE, so i spent $370 on the SCT tuner,

And still i get the same mpg so i gave up on fixing it lol

That might be part of your problem, I know that I get the best mileage running 2000-3000RPM, but if I'm at a steady low speed cruise with almost no throttle I'll let it drop down as low as 1750RPM since I'm basically coasting.
