I'd recommend anyone interested in this to purchase and thoroughly read through David Vizard's "How to build a max horsepower Chevy on a budget" Yes it's a Chevy book but the chevy part doesn't really come into play until the end of the book where he basically gives indexes of parts and stuff. The majority of the book is just the theories and ways he tested things. Really good stuff when you get into it. I'm pretty sure he's done similar books on different makes but the Chevy book seems to be the easiest to find in book stores. Or at least it's the only one I found at the local Barne's & Noble.

Considering most will likely not buy the book, I've gone ahead and found a link containing the part of the exhaust section relevant here. It's a bit of a long read but it's a good one.http://www.popularhotrodding.com/eng...h/viewall.html
