CAI and new exhaust yes.. for the turbo or any kind of nitrous i would definitely rebuild with forged internals. that engine is gettin up there in mileage so its always best to be on the safe side... even tho for any type of forced induction or power adder i would say get forged internals

get an engine rebuild kit, and forged internals for sure. and if you wanna run a big shot of nitrous, get heads/cam/intake to go with it too

I may be missing something but......

What does H/C/I have to do with running a big shot of nitrous?

It would be a better base for the setup which would make more power and also make the tune that much better.

Better base?
I would rather have forged internals than have H/C/I (If I could only pick one)

Yes it would make more power, but "the tune that much better"? Explain that part.

Well I meant on top of the forged internals. But lets say your engine is designed around nitrous more. I.e. a custom grind cam etc. It would allow for a better tune for the nitrous which would make everything work more in synch rather than randomly throwing a bunch of crap together and hoping it works.

But if this guy doesn't have a couple of grand to shell out right now it wont matter. He can get forged internals, and nitrous (or just nitrous) And get a tune for it. Then he can get h/c/i and get it re tuned. The tune isn't really going to be better just the parts on the car work together to make it better.

Well lets say he gets a 150 shot after the forged internals. Which I wouldnt recommend he do the spray without forging em. He will probably only see about 100 of that with it since the car would have a stock cam and everything designed around N/A power. But he could see about 75hp from the H/C/I and then when he does get the nitrous he would see an amount MUCH closer to the 150hp.

I used to have a dyno of a bone stock v6 on a 100shot, was close to like a 94hp gain...

Yes a 50hp loss is a bit of an over exaggeration and also 94 horse out of a 100 shot are very good numbers on a bone stock vehicle. But the pretty much the whole point to what I am saying is a custom grind cam is something that anyone with modifications that are beyond bolt ons will not regret getting one. You are right he can get a quick boost in power but usually the quick and easy way to do things is going to be a dead end road.

rebuilt ande studded block, and forged internals, you'll also need a rear end, and possibly a tranny.
