Idle Issues After Installing Tune
After installing my new 93 octane race tune from Bama, i've been having issues with the car idling too low. It does not do this in park or neutral (it's an auto) but if i'm stopped and still in drive it will sometimes idle as low as 500RPM causing a shit ton of vibration.
Is there anything i can do to fix this or should i contact Bama? |

You could play with the idle on your tune if you want, but you might as well just contact bama

Is this easy to do? I don't want to screw the tune up somehow, but this would be worth trying

Since it only idles low in drive wouldn't that point more towards a vacuum leak somewhere? What puzzles me is that with the stock tune it acts fine

Carefull messing with a tune. BUT
If you go to put the tune on and when it asks if you want to adjust the options, do that, and scroll down till you see Idle Rpm, their are options for P/N and R D21. If its set on 500 or whatever, then yes things need to be adjusted. But if its set at a different number then you need to adjust it or have Bama do it. P/N RPM should always be slightly higher then D rpm, if its oppisite, when you put it into gear, it'll rev up and if your not on the break good enough you just hit something. Could be your IAC, a vac leak, or the tune. Guessing the tune and your car are not playing nice together though. |

If your rpm doesn't match the tunes numbers then Id say start checking for other problems AND call bama.

According to the tune, the Idle Speed while in drive was set at 600. In neutral it was 750. So i just set it to 750 in drive and 850 in neutral, it's probably a bit higher than it should be but it works fine and it's idling right where the tune is telling it to. I didn't think it would be so easy to change

If not, glad I helped you solve the issue at hand One bad thing about email tunes is that its not always 100% correct for your car. Which is one issue I had with Bama and AM over a tune. I asked for something as simple as a tune to keep me safe to drive to the dyno on. And they at first refused saying it was to heavily modded blah blah, well I had it out with them on here, and basically thats why they wont do it, cause especially on our cars getting so old, the email tune on a HCI set up like mine could not be guaranteed to work so they didn't want to send it something not being 99% sure. Customer satisfaction type thing. But my deal was I wasn't expecting the "perfect" tune, just something, if needed to get me safely to the dyno. But this is a good example of those email tunes not being 100%, it all depends on car to car now. |

that's why you datalog, send it back to them, and they adjust it. That's how a true e-mail tune work.

umm... I have a diablosport, so I am not 100% sure on the SCT, but when you plug it in go to Troubleshooting and there should be a section about Live Feed or something of that sort.
