i know that but as in installation because the brackets wont bolt onto the same spots because of different engines. so will it be possible for it to bolt onto my v6?

yep...go look at the install instructions for a CDC system...that'll give you the info you need

the hoods the important part...the shakers can be found pretty easily

nope..even if you cut it...unless you buy the CDC piece to fill the center

Looks like absolute shit in person. I wouldn't have put it on my old 6 if someone had given me one. Mach 1 shaker or nothing imo.

i'd use a CDC kit if the middle piece was painted to match the car...sadly nobody ever takes the time to do that...they just slap it on the car in the flat black it comes in

yea went to help a guy yesterday with the CDC kit, looked like ass.

Does nothing for performance, just dumps air out on top of the filter. No suction created by the intake system like a true shaker does.

But yea Matt, the hood is the expensive part. Unless you plan to toss it in the closet and wait til you find a hood, I'd pass. They are a nice look, but not worth the pain versus a generic cowl.
