need help

ok i have a 99 mustang v6 with 238000 miles

now it runs fine

but lately it has been having a weird electrical problem lights dimming and all. Makes me think the alternator but now randomly just did it twice within a block the car and the entire electrical system just went completely blank. Everything shut off then next it all came back on like nothin happened.

The only other problem i have is that the odometer it goes in and out randomly as well idk if it could be an issue with the gauge cluster

much help would be appreciated

I'd inspect the ground cable and make certain it is getting a good connection at the engine block, as that tends to be overlooked.

I was gonna say, check the grounds. Sounds like something is loose.

corrosion could be the key. A pretty simple fix if that's it. I've seen a lot of times where a car won't start because of corroded battery cables.
