need help
ok i have a 99 mustang v6 with 238000 miles
now it runs fine but lately it has been having a weird electrical problem lights dimming and all. Makes me think the alternator but now randomly just did it twice within a block the car and the entire electrical system just went completely blank. Everything shut off then next it all came back on like nothin happened. The only other problem i have is that the odometer it goes in and out randomly as well idk if it could be an issue with the gauge cluster much help would be appreciated |

Go t your local auto parts store and have them test your alternator, that's what im thinking is the issue

I'd inspect the ground cable and make certain it is getting a good connection at the engine block, as that tends to be overlooked.

I was gonna say, check the grounds. Sounds like something is loose.

corrosion could be the key. A pretty simple fix if that's it. I've seen a lot of times where a car won't start because of corroded battery cables.
