rear gt bumper for 75 bucks? good deal?


i have a guy on craigslist near me. like 5 minutes away actually. selling a gt rear bumper for 100 bucks but i offered him 75 and he is gonna take it. im gonna have a shop repaint it for me. here's some pics of the bumper. do i need any additional hardware to put the new bumper on my stang??

Any bumper from a 99-04 gt will bolt right up to our cars

i did my tail lights with VHT

arnt they pretty =]]]]










edit: im eventually gonna buy the raxiom smoked tail lights though, because with vht close up you can see a sort of graininess that i dont like. but from more than 4 feet back they look amazing

for sure man! im sure they do that stuff all the time. shouldnt be more than around 50-100 bucks for them to do it. and thats a ballpark guess. if youve got a friend in the paint business, you'd just pay for paint!

but yeah, they should do it and they will get them looking very nice. just as good as buying actual tinted tails.

graininess (orange peel) just means you haven't finished them properly..

okay, that picture is after the last clear coat. they are wetsanded and buffed and are smooth as glass now. thats how they are on the car. i used adhesion promoter with the vht and it worked well, but i think it may have turned out a little better without the adhesion promoter.

who knows. all i know is they look damn good!

I used adhesion promoter as well. It does not affect the final coat. As long as you lay down your coats evenly and wetsand/buff the final clear... it will be smooth as glass.

well you see its not the final coat im concerned so much about. because that turned out fine, its the first couple coats of vht. its buffed clear and smooth but underneath that you can see the vht with a tiny speckle. nothing bad. i was just saying it quickly.
