What should I do?

On so you I have a 2000 v6 mustang... The mustangs body is spotless no rust anywhere it still has all paint under neath the car. Butt bad part it has 223,000 miles... The head gasket is blown... The options are get a new head gasket and fix it and have a 200,000 mile engine. Or get a 100,000 mile engine for $500 and have it installed for $500 dollers. But the head gasket is the only problem we know of... Can somone help me.. Got this car in september haven't drove it yet and am dieing to. So help me

Yes you are

that engine is in the point of its life we're its gona give you soooooo much grief. No point in wasting money on it. Also shop around for a lower mileage engine, you can get like 60k mile engines for 500 bucks just gota look.

Really? For 500 bucks? My dad is a body shop manager for sunnyside and is looking ill let him know about that cuz he found the 100,000 mile one at a salvage yard

Have a look yourself at your local salvage yards, check craigs list often as well thats gona be your best bet. Regardless even if you do swap in that 100k engine it's still gona be waaaaay better than the 223k motor you have now.

the motor I am using for my rebuild was out of a wrecked 2000 with 40k miles... got the motor for $100 before the car went to the crusher...

3.8L V6 engines are fucking tanks, hard as hell to kill them unless you drain oil, don't change oil, or blow a headgasket or something and even then it's hard.
