hp boosters
so I have run out of ideas on hp adders. I have installed a JLT intake and 93 race tune and Pypes true duals. I am still craving power. I am only 17 and dont make a whole lot of money working min wage so s/c and nitrous is out of the question for now. Does anyone have any idea how to squeeze a few more ponies out of the car?

oh you got a lot more you can do.
Question is, how much are you willing to do? Are you wanting to save up for something big? Or do you want a bunch of little things? Gears is always a great booster. No really gains, but accelleration is much improved. Can always do an underdrive pulley, though it's not the best gains for the money. Have you thought about long tubes? Do you have a mid pipe or are you running divorced duals? Are you an automatic or manual? A short shifter will always make a difference.

i'd just start the savings account mod...when you finally have the money for a big purchase you can then clearly look at all the things out there..you're 17 with a car nicer then 95% of other 17 year olds...that should make you content for a good while

gears.. headers.. after that you start spending more money
i'm also 17 and i decided just to save up for a v8 engine swap. seems to be the best option to me because these 3.8s just seem to be a bitch to make fast and sound good.. |

Only thing I could say against going with the gears mod is if you do a lot of highway driving don't go too high on the ratio otherwise you'll be buying so much gas you won't be able to save enough to get bigger mods

4.10s causes first gear to be too tall, your basically gona be taking off from a stop in 2nd gear

...i will say if the person i quoted is hurt by what i said though i am sorry.@skargon...not likeing things on someone elses mustang doesn't make you any less of an enthusiast... ![]() @wolfhound...even with 4.10s the 1-2 mpg he'll lose will never be a real issue for someone driving alot of interstate...he doesn't have the power to run out of gear so the sky's the limit |
