trans question


well today i was... getting on the interstate... and i slammed 2nd but when i did i noticed a small grind. let off and pulled it out of 2nd and put it back in gently and no grind. just did it the one time. any ideas what caused it?

if i'm not mistaken then i think my dad flushed it when my sister had the car about 30k ago.

Any autoparts..its with the gear lube in a yellow bottle...its made by penzoil..swap it for a art of trans fluid

haha i only push the clutch in enough so it just engages then slam it then dump the clutch. i know, it's not very good on the car

your not going to find any metal shavings in the old fluid, there is a big Magnet at the bottom of the tranny, that catches the metal so it doesnt float in the fluid... put some purple royal synchronizer in her, and she should be fine.

not to mention the sincro material is a non magnetic fiber and just 1 grind wont leave a lot of gear material behind.

lol i push the clutch all the way down now XD but i ground the fuck out of third and 5th the other day because it just did not want to go into gear (clutch was fully depressed) so i slammed it into 5th with a very small grind. hasn't done it since though. kind of weird.
