96 mustang 3.8 no power to car.

I finally got the stang running good this past weekend. Then today sitting at a redlight pushed the gas she stalled out wouldn't crank back. I pushed it to the side tried to crank it she finally did and stalled again I tried one more time she tuned over guages went crazy battery light flashed and car died. No powe at all no lights or anything. Battery still has power but car don't need help

also if the computer went bad would the car still have power for lights horn locks ect.

3.8 no power the 3.8 would be your problem then I kid. But when I had my 96 my ECU went bad and did the same thing

yeah it was kinda wierd we are checking to see if we are even getting power to the distribution block in the engine bay for the relay and fuses if we are then the computer is bad.

before you replace the ecu, get some triflow at an auto parts store, get some battery terminal cleaner and clean the positive and negative terminals and the connectors and then put the triflow on the exposed cables. this happened to me. try this before replacing the ecu

yeah my dad checked the power a few min ago at the distribution block and it had no power at it. so i will check the cable when i get home tonight.
