my 96 3.8 is running rough again. it will run fine all day the it will get to where i push the gas it wont go it wants to stall. sometimes it will cut of and be a pain to get started back. i can drive for a few days at times and it run great, but then she wants to run rough. need help. also i am still having issue with WOT it want pull at WOT just up to 3500 rpms but runs good up to 3500 when its runnung ok. also check engine light will flash when she is running real bad and it like she is misfiring bad. but like i said it only odes this at times most of the time it runs fine.

i have changed Fuel pump, cam synchro and crank sensor, MAF, plugs, fuel filter, TPS, exhaust is New, computer. new vacumm hoses.

only code i have is for the purge solenoid which is the most common issue on these cars but they say this will not cause the issues i am having.

i would fix the purge solenoid before attempting anything else, just because thats something that needs to be fixed and you KNOW what it is. Then continue with unknown problems.
Never know, it could solve your issue.

changed purge solenoid last night and plugs and wires again runs a little better still has issues pulling and nothing at WOT it wants to still bogg down at WOT but runs fine around 2000-2500 rpm. i am to the point now where i am ready to just sell the car. tired of it running good then running like sh--. there have been a few write ups on here with people having the same issues but they never updated when it gets fixed.

I know how that feels, i just keep thinking that i will regret selling my car, so many people on here have sold theirs for something else they were looking at and then said "damn, i wish i had kept my car"
That and whenever im working on my car if what im trying to do is complicated, i hate it, want to see it, ect...but when its done and it works their is a feeling of accomplished and i just really dont ever want to sell it. She wont last forever but im sure i'll try.

as for the issue lets see......What about a cleaning agent to run through the engine? maybe you have excessive carbon build up on the inside?
